Level 3 Triathlon Tune-Up Swim Clinic  - FULL

Wednesday March 5th, 2024  8:30-9:30pm

This one session clinic is designed for an intermediate or advanced swimmer who is looking for a tune up on their technique. Without a trained eye to guide you, bad habits have a tendency to creep into our stroke, hindering our advancement. If this sounds like your situation, then this tune up session is perfect for you. This session will identify what aspects of your technique needs to be worked on and the right drills to fix it. ​

Private or Semi Private Swim Sessions  

Wednesdays   8:30-9:30pm - Booking into Mid March and April

This one session clinic is designed for swimmers who are looking to improve their technique.  Swimming is a very technical sport and without the right technique swimming can feel like a chore.  As a certified swim coach I can help you focus on the technical aspects of your stroke and get you feeling better and faster.  I can help you with any stroke  (freestyle, breaststroke, back, or fly) or focus in on what is needed for Triathlon racing.  

What you get: 1 hour coached private swim session, notes on the drills that are right for you and video analysis.

"Beast in the Cave" - Strength and Flexibility Training ***VIRTUAL***

We never stop training so contact me to learn how and when you can join us
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 - 7am

Come and join me  on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (6am -7am)  for a 4 week strength and flexibility training session in the St Lawrence College gym.  Sessions will combine cardio, strength training and flexibility training in a fun dynamic format.  These sessions are meant for people who want to generally increase their fitness level as well as experienced athletes who want to enhance their core strength and flexibility resulting in increased power and speed on the bike, running and swimming.  Cost for all 8 sessions is $65

Triathlon Swimming Level 1 - Foundations of Triathlon Swimming

TBD - 6 sessions

This clinic will focus on the core foundation pieces of freestyle (front crawl)  to get you more efficient and faster with less effort and stress. Technique focus will include balance, rotation,  stroke mechanics,  breathing, and  kicking for freestyle technique. Each session will include drills to improve technique as well as sets to improve endurance with your new skill set.   Swimmers should be able to swim at least 50m freestyle (front crawl) without stopping, with their head in the water.  This is a perfect clinic for swimmers who are tired of putting a lot of effort into swimming and not getting faster or who are looking to improve their technique and triathlon racing times.   Above water video analysis will be provided.  Swimmers will receive 1 hour coached session plus a structured workout to do on their own each week.  Swimmers are expected to swim and practice the drills at least 2 times each week to keep up with the advancement of the class.

​Cost for all 6 sessions = $200 + HST = $226.00

Track Attack Tuesdays - Run Speed/Technique Sessions
Tuesdays 6pm:  May - end of September

Every Tuesday evening join my team for some fun track workouts.  Workouts and coaching specific to your needs/goals are provided at each session.  Whether you are a seasoned runner or new to the sport you are welcome to join in and become faster and more efficient.   These sessions are only open for a few extra runners so if you want to join in on the fun don't hesitate.

Open Water Racing Swim Clinic

Come on out and fine tune your OWS skills. We will be working on deep water and beach starts, exits, turns, drafting, passing, and swimming in a pack. And of course sighting!   Let me know if you want to join in on the fun.

Advanced Triathlon  Swim  Clinic

This clinic will focus on fine tuning and improving technique required for a faster freestyle including balance, power, efficient breathing and proper kicking.   Each session will include drills to improve technique as well as speed sets to improve racing form.    Ideally swimmers will have completed the UtBMC Triathlon Swim Clinic or have extensive triathlon swimming experience.  Above and under water video analysis will be provided.  Swimmers will receive 1 hour coached session plus a structured workout to do on their own each week.

Triathlon Transition Clinic

Practise and fine tune your transitions to become faster and more efficient and cut down on your over all race time.  We will work on effective techniques for setting up the ideal transition area, exiting the water, wetsuit removal, transitioning from swim to bike, running with the bike, mounting and dismounting and transitioning to the run.  Participants will have ample time to practice their transitions multiple times and will be timed.  If weather allows transitions will be videoed.

Pre-registration is required.  Participants must bring all equipment used for racing including swimming gear, run gear and all your cycling gear including your bike and helmet.

Cycling Skills Clinic

Looking to gain more confidence on the bike and fine tune your bike handling skills?  Then this clinic is for you.  Join me Monday evenings for a series of four 2 hour sessions learning the fundamentals of bike handling and/or more advanced skills.

Fundamental Bike Skills Clinic will cover:  effective and safe braking, straight line riding, cornering, descending as well as other skills such as drinking while riding, shoulder checking and avoiding obstacles.    No pre-requiste required.  This clinic is perfect for those who are new to cycling, those who have a new road or triathlon bike and are not yet confident riding it or veterans who want to refresh their bike handling skills.

Cost is $120 (+ HST)  for all 4 sessions (total of 8 hours of instruction)

Must be over the age of 18. All participants must bring their own bike (sorry no e-bikes allowed), helmet, gloves, closed toed shoes, sunglasses (or prescription glasses).

Triathlon Race Clinic

Planning on doing your first triathlon or duathlon this year?  Want to become more organized and efficient in your races?  Then this clinic is for you!  Join me for a full day of everything racing.  This day will focus on the days leading up to the race and race day itself.  How to prepare, what to eat, what to expect on race day and what you should focus on race morning and during your race.

This clinic will focus on speed and race specific skills  including sighting, race starts, and pacing.   Swimmers should be able to swim at least 200m freestyle without stopping.  Above and under water video analysis will be provided.  Swimmers will receive 1 hour coached session plus a structured workout to do on their own each week. Cost for all 3 sessions =  tbd

Triathlon Swim

This clinic will focus on improving technique required for a faster freestyle including balance, rotation,  stroke mechanics,  breathing, and  kicking. Each session will include drills to improve technique as well as some skills needed for racing including sighting.   Swimmers should be able to swim at least 100m freestyle without stopping.  This is a perfect clinic for racers who want a tune up of their technique before the winter swim training gets intense or for those who weren't too happy with their swim portion of their triathlons and want to become more efficient.  Above and under water video analysis will be provided.  Swimmers will receive 1 hour coached session plus a structured workout to do on their own each week.

Race Day Nutrition
